BUS FARE INFORMATION
Bus service in Bermuda is operated by the Bermuda Public Transportation Board (PTB).
Bermuda is divided in 14 Zones. Each zone is approximately 2 miles long.

INFORMATION
Adult Fares: Cash Fares require exact change only. The Cash fare for journeys up to 3 Zones is $3.00, while longer journeys cost $4.50. Drivers do not make change, and are forbidden from receiving and depositing money in the farebox. Dollar bills are not accepted. Tokens are available for 3 and 14 Zones, and are honoured on buses and ferries. Tickets for 3 and 14 Zones are sold in Booklets of 15, and are honoured on buses only . Transportation Passes for 1, 3 or 7 consecutive days and Calendar Month Passes are available for an unlimited number of journeys for all Zones, and are honoured on buses and ferries.

Student-Child: Children under Age 5 ride Free. Cash rides children Age 5-16 are $1.00. Students can ride using Student Tickets, sold in booklets of 15. Students using Tickets must be in uniform or display a Student Identification Card. Student Tickets are honoured on buses only. Student Transportation Passes are also available, and are honoured on buses and ferries. * Please note this is for resident students only.

Senior Citizens Fare: Bermuda Senior Citizens must show their Special Person's ID when boarding the bus in order to qualify for the FREE RIDE. * Please note this is for local residents only.

Transfers: Transfers are Free when travelling from one bus route to another, as long as the transfer is made to the next scheduled trip on the connecting route.

Ferry Service: Bus Tokens, Transportation Passes, Adult, Monthly Passes, and Student Term Passes, are honoured on buses and ferries. Tickets and Transfers are not honoured on the ferries. Contact the Marine & Ports Services Department at 295-6575 for information concerning the Ferry System.

School Bus Service: The Public Transportation Board operates the scheduled School Bus Service in Bermuda. There are additional school trips operate that may not be shown on the timetable.

Sightseeing Tours and Charter Service: The Public Transportation Board operates a sightseeing service for visitors. Many of these tours are on behalf of the cruise ships serving the Island. Groups of 20 or more may charter buses at a competitive rate. Contact the Charter Supervisor at 292-6704 for additional information regarding sightseeing and charter services.

Obtaining Tokens, Tickets and Passes: Tokens, Tickets, and Transportation Passes are available from the PTB Central Terminal on Washington Street, in Hamilton. Tokens and Transportation Passes are also available at many hotels and guest houses, and from the Visitors Service Bureau. Tickets, School Passes and Adult Passes are available at many sub-post offices. The Central Terminal hours of operation are 7:15am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, 8:15am-5:30pm on Saturday, and 9:15am-4:45pm on Sundays and Holidays. The PTB Headquarters hours of operation are 8:45am-5:00pm Monday - Friday. Contact the Public Transportation Board at 292-3851 for additional information.
